Default No green house ... drafty old house ... But

I just could not stop myself. Came home with a Phal that was in tough shape from Lowes. figured I could not murder it worse than it was going thru. - that was last spring and tho it did not flower - it does have 2 new leads? plants - growing below. YEA!! so my next rescue was this winter. a Cattleya - no Idea who or what.
I had to give myself a good talking to.
pfft - went online and purchased 4 (yes ... four) Tolumnia. <3 them!! and I will have to behave - or bathe with all of them this winter.
that is my story - and I come for help.
Kim

ummm I do know who the Cattleya is - LC Marcia Foster ... and I am proud to report she has a nice new lead and finally some roots!

If your house is cold and drafty in the winter, get orchids which like those conditions. No shortage of orchids that need a cool rest in order to bloom. I keep some of my Dendrobiums and a Stanhopea in my unheated laundry room under lights in the winter. Temps in that room got into the low 40s last winter.
