Hello from West Central Illinois!

Where it's now chilly......again! (sorry don't mean to complain right off the bat, but this weather is totally killing my outside gardening plans!)

I've got two orchids now, both phals I believe...I got them at Wal-Mart!

The first one was just over 3 years ago. I haven't had much luck with flowering plants, green house plants yes and outside flowering plants, yes, but inside ones always seem to die on me.

I took a chance on the orchid in hopes that it wouldn't die and so far so good! It blooms non stop almost! I picked up my second one from Walmart a few weeks ago, simply because I did so well with the first!

I am looking to become a better orchrid mom!

Hello and welcome! The weather this year has been quite bad. I think my peach tree is a goner and all but one cherry and the apples are going to skip this year. As for our summer gardening weather, we are to get that weather tomorrow, I guess. I was so excited as the hot weather was making everything grow so well and.... Sigh. Nice to have you and good luck with your garden!

yes, the weather here has been so crappy, but I have gotten all the houseplants that go outside, moved outside! I'm currently trying to find more room for a couple of them that need more shade then my area can provide!
