Hi everyone,

I'm a long-time gardener (inside and out) with varying degrees of success, and I got my first orchid about a month ago. It's a rescue from Kroger that "called my name." Other than it being a nearly rootless Phalaenopsis I don't know anything about it. I soon got it some company (besides a "Christmas Cactus") when I bought a much more healthy miniature Phalaenopsis in immediate need of repotting. I'm now keeping my new addiction going, and avoiding over babying them, by spending huge amounts of time reading about and thinking about orchids. What Fun!

Welcome Kari, I lol'ed at your comment here as it's exactly the same for me. I want to muck around with them so much but know I shouldn't and this board feeds that need.....mostly....

Cheers Kari!!!

You're going to learn loads here and I second Silken's comment! Heck I think just being on here is the enabler!

Good luck with your current plants and the inevitable many to come.

Welcome to the boards, Kari. I have to warn you now, there is no cure for acquisitions you have yet to make.
