Talking Hello from Denmark, Europe!

Hey all!
I just thought I wanted to introduce myself - my name is Janni (pronounced "Yannee"), and I entered the wonderful world of orchids when I bought my first Phalaenopsis hybrid two months ago.

I'm 28 years old and live in a village on Southern Zealand (the same Island that Copenhagen is on - I live about two hours South of Copenhagen). I've wanted an orchid ever since I was a child, but I, like so many others, thought they were hard to care for and demanded a lot from its "parent". But when I spotted a beautiful Phal in the local nursery and read the tag that specified its care, I (like the Phal itself) was sold! Since then, I bought another Phal, rescued one from my mother (she wanted to throw it out after it finished blooming), and bought two more that I'm not sure about - they're either Phalaenopsis or Doritaenopsis. Since I bought them, the second Phal I bought has sprouted a basal Keiki, and the Blooms are still beautiful on most of them (save for the one my mother wanted to throw out - it's doing okay, but no blooms yet)!

I also ordered the following from the local nursery:

Dtps Tzu Chiang Sapphire
Dtps Anna Larati Soekardi
Bl. Morning Glory
Dendrobium Cretaceum x Anosmum
Zygopetalum Bärbel Höhn
Lc. Cariad's Mini Quinee "Angel Kiss"
Odontoglossum Trilobum x Odontocidium Tiger Glow
Blc. King of Taiwan

I'm picking up the Tzu Chiang Sapphire tomorrow, while the rest have just been ordered from another nursery and will take a few days to arrive - my house is going to look like a greenhouse! Can't wait!

I suppose this is enough for now - I'm looking forwards to getting to know you all better, and to learn from all of you!
Have a great day!

Welcome to OB! Looks like a great start for your collection! I think you will especially appreciate the intergeneric cattleyas blooming twice or more every year.

Welcome to the boards, Kuzuri. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your collection. Yes, collecting orchids does seem to be an incurable disease.

Thank you! Glad to be here! As for the Orchid addiction, I think it's already full-blown.
