Just got my first ever Orchid yesterday (a mini) and have many questions that will seem dumb to some of you (I know, I know the only dumb question is an unasked one).

Right now it is under glass along with a Bromeliad that I got day before yesterday. This is only temporary as the house humidity is very low.

Questions will follow in other thread(s) along with images.

Robert

Hello, and welcome to the forums. A mini what? I get that it's an orchid, but what type, phal, paph, milt, etc? I've never put any of my orchids into any special environment. They all live with me in whatever environment is going on at the time in my condo.

Sonya & Lecent, Thanks for the replies.

Dan,

I have no idea what it is except NOID. I wanted to post a couple of images but find out must have five posts before images are allowed.

As soon as I get the five in I'll post images and maybe someone will be able to identify it.

The orchid was purchased at our local Stop and Shop and being small I thought it might be compatible with our home.

Now I'm considering more of them. (Never even considered trying to grow an orchid before).

Robert

Hello Robert!
Welcome!! You've come to the right place!! This board is awesome!! It has a lot of answers already if you search for them, and a lot of people willing to help out if you post a question.
Guessing from where you purchased, I think you have a mini Phalaenopsis.
Dies it look something like this? The shape of the flowers and the plant?
