Hello from Reno, NV!
I recently got into Orchids because I needed some green around my apartment.
I got started when I saw a pretty noID Phalaenopsis at Winco, but since then got a Cattleya Green Emerald 'Queen' off Amazon and was gifted a Bollopetalum Midnight Blue 'Cardinal Roost' from Amazon as well.
Just wanted to say hello, since I've been lurking for a while.

Welcome! Your story is the way mine started, one orchid from Trader Joe's for some color. And now I have a lot more than that (I stopped counting once I hit 100)!

Hah, I don't think I have enough space in my apartment for that, but so far it's pretty fun having a few new plants around. They even seem like they're doing ok, well they haven't died yet...

I started growing when I lived in an apartment and I know quite a few on this board grow in apartments. The wonderful and horrible thing about orchids is just when you think you've run out of space, you find a perfect sized perfect plant that will fit into your "full" growing space.
I am happy you're enjoying your plants. And with a little help from all of us on this board I'm sure you're plants will not only survive, but thrive.

It's only a matter of time. We are great enablers here on OB and pretty soon you'll be buying more. Trust me

Welcome to Orchid Board
I never thought I would get as high as 100 orchids, in fact I stayed arround the 80/90 mark for a long time... now it seems to have gone up and up... somehow I keep finding space for them.
