Hi from New Jersey

Hello all. Decided to register here after doing a lot of browsing. I currently have 8 Orchids. I have a friend that spread his addiction to plants in general to me and it seems I have chosen Orchids as my new addiction.

I have a pretty wide mix of them so far. My favorite probably being a Sedirea japonica. I bought it last year at a show here in NJ in bloom and it's the first one I have had that has successfully rebloomed for me....so far.

Looking forward to learning a ton from you all and expanding my addiction!

I'm a newbie too. It's a great feeling getting an orchid to reboom again. I have a Phal that hasn't bloomed in two years but will be opening up any week now!

bellini girl, believe me, I know. I have been able to keep things contained for now thankfully. Want to get a handle on things before I start going to crazy. Would rather try to avoid the almost-inevitable beginner kill offs. Thankfully one of my best friends has been keeping them for a while and has been a huge help.

I know RCollins! I felt kind of....crazy, posting a picture of a little flower spike on mine on Facebook but anyone that knows me understands! It's been just a bit over 3 weeks since mine showed up so hopefully within the next week or so I should be getting flowers.
