Default Oldie but Goodie!

Hi, That's me, 75 years old now and still enjoy orchiding. Moved to Oregon a few years ago and haven't tried to grow any up here. But after looking around, checking the weather etc etc., I think next year might be the time to try some. i sure miss those big ol' catts.

I started growing orchids in about 1960, and it has sure changed over the years. Patricia and I are life members in the San Diego County Orchid Society where I was newsletter Editor there for ten years.

Our business, www.chulaorchids.com, has been around since 1963, and we still handle supplies. We are affiliated with the McConkey Company, a Washington State Nursery Pot manufacturer. No Plants Right Now.

Clear pots and those little spring clips for holding flower spikes have kinda become our specialties, you can read all about what we have if you visit our website.

Hope this is not too much, I like to read the forums and see the pictures, really interesting.

WELCOME HARRY
Glad you can join us at the OB
I have heard of company presidents but I think you are the first Supreme Commander that I know of
Your clay orchids are beautiful - you make it possible for a grower to have an orchid they can't provide the proper culture for
Much success to you and Patricia in your business.

Hi Again,

Thanks for the notes. Gin, I like that "Force" tag, I'm a Star Wars, Dune, WOW fan. Anyone else play Wow?

We have actually been members of OB since the inception (see #7) rating, but I could never figure out how to work the forums, lol. 2. things contributed,,, 1. I'm on a Mac and don't expect most things to work, lol. 2. I'm older enough to remember WW2 starting so sometimes it takes me awhile to catch on. Marty finally got me all squared away and able to communicate. I stlll goofed up trying to get a picture into a comment I made, but I'm still working on that one. It's nice to make some new friends and share ideas. Cold and wet in Oregon!!

LOL, Supreme Commander! But only of Chula Orchids of course. One day I got tired of filling in all the forms with "owner", and I thought "Supreme Commander" sounded better, sure had a lot of fun with that over the years.
