Greetings! I have been SERIOUSLY bitten by orchid mania. Although I have gone to many orchid shows over many years, I just started collecting two years ago and have managed to kill quite a few phals. I now have a collection that for me is big (its all relative!) with 8 phals, three cattelyas (sp.), one deciduous dendrobium, and one cymbidium. A couple of phals and the dendrobium and cymbidum were recently brought home from the Philadelphia Flower Show and the Bronx Botanical Garden's annual orchid show. Like a mom with too many kids I am worried about caring appropriately for these new plants. I am in love with all of them and know that I need a place to learn and ask for help. Glad I found all of you!!

Welcome Jeannette! I'm a newbie too and I've learned a lot from searching through old posts. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

How was the Orchid Show at the (Bronx) New York Botanical Garden this year? We haven't gone this year yet.
