Welcome back! I love many types of orchids too. As long as you can provide the proper types of conditions, I say go for it!!

It was the first year that I made it there. Lots of great plants. I got a rupricolous from Chaz.

What did you get?

Glad you made it to the show. I think it's a nice little show.
I got a mini Bic, bright orange and red, a cool little Den. tannii, and a gorgeous vuyul. Aloha Sparks.
Oh yes, because I can't get my beautiful vandas to bloom, my husband bought me a very over priced clay Vanda. At least I don't have to find a place under my lights for that one! : ),
Really nice hearing from someone I here in Maryland.

Sharry,

Default Unfprtunately no

Sounds like you got some nice plants. I got fooled by the Orchid "sculptures" on display. Is that the same person who sells the clay ones?

I have never really tried to grow vandas - I did not think I could get them through the winter. They would do okay out the hot deck maybe... I like some the Rhynchostylis hybrids. And Hologlossums. I did get a Christensiana (sp?) but it wasn't progressing so I gave it away.
