Hello, I'm new to growing orchids and have already found lots of valuable information on the Orchid Board. I grow the few orchids I have outside and they appear to do well. I'm growing Cymbidiums and Masdevallias and want to learn more about growing orchids outside. I would like to try some additional orchid varieties outside as well. I live right on the bay in Sausalito, California.

You are fortunate that you live in such a temperate place. When it turns to late spring and early summer--after all chance of freezing has ended I take all of my orchids outside. I have Phalaenopsis, Oncidium, Cattleya, Vanda, and Dendrobium. They thrive outside. I hope other members who live in your area can chime in. Welcome on Board, Inde.
