I'm not sure what speices of Oncidium i have but about four types different orchids with pseudo-bulbs shriveled/wrinkled and roots all dry and some are even black.

I'm not sure how to really care for orchids as i have just acquire them. but i love how beautiful they are.

i live in Jamaica here it almost sunny everyday, i keep them to corner of the veranda where they get the morning sun. i use to water them on a daily basis but for the past week i've reduce the watering to about 2 time a week.

today potted them in a mix coconut husk, charcoal, wood bark and stones (granite and river stones-i think ) is this ok am i doing the right thing

Welcome to Orchid Board

I'm not sure about oncidium types myself, I keep killing them but keep trying again. I hope someone else can chime in with advice.

Some pics would be helpful, but you will need a few more posts before the forum software will allow you to post pictures.

It sounds to me like you've been overwatering them and some sort of bacterial rot has set in, but I can't know that for sure without pics. Oncidiums like to dry out between waterings. Watering them daily is way, way too much. They don't want to get completely dry, but just to the point where the medium is almost dry. A good rule of thumb for me, and my climate is quite dry, is to water them about once a week. In Jamaica, I would imagine that it's much more humid there. You probably don't need to water your Oncidiums nearly as much as I do, maybe every 7 to 10 days.

From what you describe, it sounds to me like you might be better off tossing these plants and starting over. Not that this is a bad thing, I lost one of my first orchids to a some sort of very fast moving rot, learned a lot from the experience of trying to save the plant, but I ultimately I ended up deciding to replace it with another plant for my collection.
