I haven't been on in a very long time. In the interim since my last post I have sold my orchid friendly house in Massachusetts, moved to an apartment nearby and am snow-birding in my new second home in Costa Rica. A long time dream come true made possible by retirement. I had to greatly downsize my Massachusetts collection due to smaller and less plant friendly quarters. I went from about 60-80 plants to 15 mostly phals and paphs and now I'm starting a new collection here in Costa Rica. My first purchase for $3 was a bamboo orchid, Arundina graminifolia which is basically a weed here. I put it in a small patch next to my front porch. My second is a small mounted epidendrum, species unidentified but it is not a reed-stem type, which I am hanging on the back porch with dappled morning sun I will post pictures later.
It feels good to be back.
