Hello from Scotland
Hi everyone. I'm a newbie on here, and to orchids in general. I have come here to learn, having had two pretty devastating "Phael fails" over the last few months. Totally my fault, I know that now. Should have found you sooner. The climate here is challenging, but we shall overcome!
Maybe...

Welcome to the Orchid Board. Glad you joined. Figuring out why you killed them is a great way to learn how not to kill them.

Thanks everyone. I do have some orchids right now. In fact, I just posted a thread on the newbie area titled "I think my medium is suboptimal". Your input would be amazing. Thanks so much, and glad to have found you.

Welcome to Orchidboard!! Your climate may be challenging, but certainly not impossible. I guess the very short days are the most problematic thing at the moment, but it's nothing grow lights can't fix! Scotland is so nice though, I'd love to live there. I was visiting some friends in Edinburgh a month ago, and we went hiking up in the Cairngorms. So stunningly beautiful up there!
