Hello orchid lovers! I am a newbie here. I have learned a lot from you folks and have just joined the community. I started growing orchids about a year and a half ago and have acquired about 10 orchids. I have one cattleya that started budding. I am so excited! I look forward to learning more from this community.

Welcome! It sure sounds like you've got the 'orchid bug'. Where in SW VA are you? I grew up in Blacksburg and my parents still live nearby.

Yes, welcome.

My " local connection" is the fact that I go fishing near Pearisburg every Labor Day!

Welcome from NC. I've been to Blacksburg and Pearisburg and both are beautiful mountain towns
