hello, I am looking for an old orchid species clone
Hello, I am a new text user but an old grower. I have been growing and hybridizing orchids for almost 50 years. At one time I was in the start up of my own paph. business, back in 1964. I moved from CA to Okc and lost 90%of my collection to a power outage ice storm. I lost 250,000 paph seedling,15 years of hybridizing and my only breeding division of Paph. Fairieanum album "Hagee" FCC/AOS. I have retired back to CA and I am trying to find an available division of my lost FCC plant. It is just a serendipity attempt to regain a piece of what was lost. I have found the clone on the internet, but on follow up it is never available. I am hoping that someone in this group may have or know someone who has a piece available. I am glad to find this site, I have not attended an orchid meeting for the last 30 years. Sometimes it takes time to go back to what you lost. Thanks for this opportunity to contact you and I hope to here from all of you. Aloha

looking for paph fairieanum album "Hagee" FCC /AOS
Thanks for the greeting, I am hoping to find someone who has a division of my own FCC, the only one I got- 40 years ago. Norito was a junior AOS judge on the committee who gave it the FCC.
He says it will be a challenge to find it, but I believe it is still out there and I will be successful. Thanks again and let me know if any of your friends have a piece of it. What type of orchids do you grow?

Welcome!
I can't help in your search but you might want to post in the Paph. section to get more exposure for your search. Cypripedium Alliance - Paphiopedilum - Orchid Board - Most Complete Orchid Forum on the web !

Ok, AnonYmouse, but how do I get there from here? I am of the telegraph and fax generation. Just got this tablet 2 months ago and don't quite have all these moves figured out.

Click the underlined portion of my message. That will take you directly to the Paph. section. Just create a new thread, just like you did for this.
