Welcome! What's your orchid interest? Do you have a collection in both places?
(I actually knew of a snowbird that maintained a collection in PA even though they spent considerable time in FL - they had someone tend their collection up north when they were away...)

That's an interesting concept. How does that work ? You don't travel with your Orchids, do you

Welcome George,

Where you from in Michigan?

Our interest is in the unbelievable beauty and delicacy of Orchids. We have a windowsill collection that we maintain in both MI and FL. Great fun taking them back and forth in the Van

Hi there
We are retired from a lifetime of work in the Detroit area to a land development called Canadian Lakes. It is about 50 miles north of Grand Rapids. I enjoyed the winters when I was younger but now will leave the snow shovelling to others.

Yes we travel with the orchids. Simply put them in a box on the back seat, make sure they dont get sunburn. We dont travel with them in freezing weather and the trip is only two days. Have not lost an orchid yet due to the trip. (that we know of)
