orchid lovers,
I'm from Austria but my passion for diving brought me to Mexico. Passion only leads to more passion, so inevitably a diver there has to become a passionate cave diver. But it took me some years of roaming the jungle for more caves till I realized: "hey, the weird weed on the trees can have the most amazing, bizarre flowers" - a new passion was born. After years of just having to tie one to a tree in my garden I have now moved to Canada where suddenly growing them is far more challenging. But I am stunned by the vast availability of different orchids here.
Love Cattleyas & Oncidiums but will always love my mexican orchids most
Happy to be in the forum and hoping to become a good grower one day!

mixed nationality is very progressive. I am glad that the countries of your choice have taken you into their heart. I have always loved Austria= there is a castle in the middle of the city that made it look like a fairy tale scene....

I guess you are talking about Salzburg - yes I think it is the most charming city in Austria!
I had never seen any orchid in Austria; was even more happy to find a blooming orchid on one of my first walks through the canadian forrest!
