hello from northern scotland. i i found this forum yesterday after searching for info on how to care for orchids.
i was given a lovely orchid 3 years ago and i have enjoyed 2 years with 2 flower spikes. the last yearsadly its been neglected and had become so root bound its nearly dead.
i dont know what type of orchid it is as it was a "supermarket" orchid and was sold from my local lidl store.
anyway i dont know if it will survive or not but ive given it some tlc and have repotted it in some orchid soil in a bigger pot.
i may eventually want to get some other orchids once i have my greenhouse build but my first plant love is for cacti and succulents.

Most orchids sold in supermarkets (at least here in England, probably similar in Scotland) are Phalaenopsis, but you occasionally get other types as well. Can you take a picture of it?
