Hello all! Glad I came across this forum as I'm surely going to need some help.

A little background: Orchids have always been my favorite flower. I love to garden and I love a challenge so I decided to give an orchid a shot. Phals in particular are very special to me because my favorite aunt and I had Phal tattoos. She passed recently from cancer, so as a tribute to her I named my newest Phal "Melissa".

I have been hitting the books and the web big time for information and quite honestly it's overwhelming the amount of info I have taken in. Still, I feel I'm pretty much learning as I go. My very first Phal didn't make it. I am on Phal 2 and it seems to be going a lot better.

I'm guessing I've probably already run into a couple of those challenges. Ohio weather is nuts! 80 one day 60 the next.
