Unhappy W illing to learn from you

Hi, I've been trying to grow orchids in southern California for some time now. I don't have a greenhouse and a very small area. I have Phals in my home and a neofineta falcata and cattleyas, laelias, dendrobiums cymbidiums and a couple vandas outside. They're anywhere I can fit them. The vandas are my new loves. However I'm having trouble with a Rothschildiana right now and I'm afraid I'm losing it. I went on vacation and I put moss in the basket with it. I forgot to remove it and lost all the roots but one. Do you think it will survive? Help!

Welcome Aboard!

Sit back, relax and read postings from our senior members to learn from their experiences on growing orchids....
You are located in a grow zone where you can have outdoor plants.
The single root left if it is still healthy can support the plant this warm summer months...it is in growth mode so it will produce more roots and leaves.

You sound like you've already got the addiction, so I'm sure you'll fit right in! Very friendly (smart) group here too.
