Welcome to Orchid Board

We've all killed orchids, just learn what you can from them and buy two to replace every one you kill

Thanks everyone for the welcomes. Yes and I'm also sure I will probably do it again. I'll try not to I lost some really good ones, very mad at myself for a couple of ones

I go through stages when I get real busy and neglect the poor thing. Also the rest of my house plants.

Welcome, Shannon! No shame in killing a few orchids, it happens to us all from time to time.

What part of Wyoming do you hail from? I have family in Laramie and love visiting there, though it's been years since my last trip. Being able to keep any houseplant, much less a tropical epiphyte, alive in your climate is no mean feat.

Nat you can say that again. And you should see the dry location we live in, no trees nothing. Well we do have some going well in and around our house but we have to water them constantly.

We live just south of Buffalo not to far from the Big Horn Mountains so we have a nice view of them. It's been a long time sense I have been to Laramie also, 2 of my sisters use to live there so I would visit every once in a while. But they left there years ago so I have no reason to go there anymore.

And RosieC I hope I don't keep replacing with 2 for to long as I am getting ready to make my first internet order, which is how I found this board looking for orchids. Well tha'st not true I did an order a while back but never got it and had to have visa go after my money for me. They got it thank goodness so I am a bit shy now about ordering. Hope nothing happens to next time or I may be in trouble.

I have been reading that allot of you have good luck and I know the girls that got me into this in the first place did it all the time so I guess I was just unlucky.
