Hello everyone! - Orchid Board

As a newbie to the hobby/obsession of Orchids and all the lovely things that go with them, I felt the need to join a well respected and developed community of fellow Orchid lovers, so here I am.

After a short, seasonal stint at a large home improvement box store, and feeding my love of plants in general from the garden center in said store (95% of plants i acquired were 'rescues' headed for the trash), I happened to bring home a few Phalaenopsis that were in trouble and nurse them back to health...all are lovely and happy and resting after blooming. Well, always thirsty for knowledge, as I take my responsibilities seriously when it comes to my plants, I have done much reading and watched countless videos and have a fairly good grasp on what I am in for, and the rewards that I will reap.

So 3 Phals later, and 1 Dendrobium hodgkinsonii, Thecopsus secuda and a lovely finial fire orchid on the way...I believe I am now in it for life.

I am thrilled to be here, and hope to make some new Orchid lover friends along the way!
