Smile Hello everyone!!

Hello everyone. This is an awesome site. I live in Miami, Florida and I have recently begun growing (or attempting to grow) orchids. I bought my first orchid in March of this year, and now my office has ummmm... let me see....about 10 orchids. I've just about run out of room. However, since I live about 10 minutes away from A LOT of orchid growers: Baldan's, Pine Ridge, Carib, Soroa etc. it seems like an orchid magically shows up at my house every weekend. Now, since I have them in the office, I am going to buy those fancy orchid pots with the cutouts in them. Well, enough about me. I hope to learn a lot more.

I'm actully surprised that I've sort of fallen into this hobby. And, surprisingly, my plants haven't stopped blooming since I bought them early this year-and they are busting out of their pots.

Hi peewee and welcome to Orchidboard

You live in a GREAT place! It's a good thing I don't live quite that close to all the growers further south of me

Will you be going to the World Orchid Conference in January? Here's a link to their web site:

Welcome to the Orchid Board! Glad you were able to join up. Orchid collections have a way of suddenly swelling in proportions. It sort of sneaks up on you.

Yes. Yes. I can't wait. I really don't have much room because I live at home and well, orchid appreciation is not overwhelming. So, I have to keep it limited to my office and a few at home.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Right now I am in search of a particular orchid.Actually, I gave my friend Ginger a BEAUTIFUL colored orchid: pink/peach with a RED center and have been going around town searching for it. No one seems to know where it came from. I'll post a picture later. But, I am truly coveting her orchid.
