Talking Hello A Newbie with 25+ stubborn orchids

I have several orchids that are blooming sized. I have a Paphiopedilum, five Dendrobiums, three large sized Cattleyas, two medium sized Cattleyas, and three mini-Cattleyas, two Oncidium, one Catasetum, two Brassavola, one Brassia or Brassidium, two Maxilllarias, one Epidendrum, two Encyclias, one Schomburgkia, one Tolumnia, two Bulbophyllums, one Comara or Mokara( I'll ask the person I bought it from), one Neofinetia, two Cymbidiums, and one Phaius. And some did flower for me while others were just plain stubborn.

Welcome to Orchid Board

The most common reason for mature orchids not to bloom is not enough light. Many of yours are fairly high light orchids. Where are you growing them and what lighting do you provide? Which ones aren't blooming?

Its mostly the Cattleyas, oncidiums, Encyclia, and Mokara/Comara. As most of my plants are in the greenhouse with 15% shadecloth in the Metro-Atlanta area. And the rest were in bloom when I bought them but they are doing their normal growth cycle. But the Encyclia has a sheath but is finishing up its growth cycle. But the cattleyas actually bloom in the spring and the minis and the oncidium bloom in the summer and for the mokara/comara I guess its free blooming.

And I had orchids a little over a year but the orchids were there since last year in April-ish time

Yes, I do fertilize them every week to every two weeks with some pure waterings in between.

Welcome to OB

Sounds like you have a great collection as for the not blooming I would just make sure that you are giving them all the right care

Thanks and I also notice two bumps near the base of the Catasetum's new growths this year. Could they be spikes or new growth? But any suggestion what I should do to make my orchids bloom this year. And some of my Cattleyas bloom frequently without a problem but one mini and a large Cattleya is outside under a tree and they have a red tinge on their leaves. And other two are also outside but no changes but one mini has sheaths waiting to bloom but don't know how to encourage them especially when it has two sheaths.

LOL thanks at least I am being understood by people with stubborn orchids. But I think I'll ask a lot of questions here.
