Hello!
Default Hello!

Hello! I'm a college student studying electrical engineering but I was raised as a gardener. My dorm room has over 20 potted plants and just last year I bought my first orchid. It was on sale for a $1 and clearly needed some TLC so I thought I might as well try it. I did a little basic research and ended up doing something right because it's still going strong today and has bloomed several times.

Being too cheap to buy plants at full price, I usually end up skulking around sale racks looking for plants I can rescue. This is how I came about my second orchid, another phalaenopsis, that I thought was a goner but now has a new spike and several buds on it. I've started looking for other kinds of orchids, and hope to add a new one to my home sometime soon.

I joined this site with the hope that I will learn more about orchid care-taking and to use it as a resource in case something goes wrong. It's good to meet you all and I look forward to talking with some of you!
