Hello!
My name is Sean, I'm currently looking after about 8 noid orchids, rescued variously from garden centers and diy stores, and lovingly coaxed back to life. Little did I know, but the excellent scheme for potting, dreamed up by my wife, turns out to be semi-hydroponic
. (For the paphs) tall glass vessels with pebbles in the bottom, orchid bark on top, and watered to cover the pebbles. OK, not exactly s/h, but close....
I'm now looking to start playing with some named species and hybrids, with a view to having a go at some crosses and in vitro seed germination - nothing serious, just as a wee challenge.
I have (approximately) a million questions about all sorts of orchidy stuff, but this forum has already helped a lot, even before I signed up!
I'm also a glass artist, and am currently working to find ways of making true to nature sculptures of orchids and other flowers in glass.
