Default Hello Everyone From a Very Green Rookie!

Hello to all!
My name is Barry and after all the research and all of the reading and questions I googled, I kept finding my way here to this forum with answers....Time to join! Orchids are new to me, I have been growing cactus from seed inside under grow lights for three years with success and after spotting some orchids at a local store with their beautiful flowers I started researching the larger flower varieties and their vast array and I was hooked!

I purchased nine plants several weeks ago and all appear to be doing well, mostly Cattleyas and a couple of Stanhopeas. All are supposed to be within one to two years of flowering. They came from nurseries in Hawaii, NJ, and Virginia. Really hoping to share and chat with you all! Sorry to wallow on...just wanted to say hello!

List of orchids...currently

Hello! I used to grow cacti from seed before orchids hooked me. You have a nice starter collection. BLC Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hua' is one of my favorites. I'm a spotted cattleya junky. LOL Welcome to the OB!

Wink

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and Discus, I'm already looking into expanding the lighting system I use. I'm staying away from the photo area of this forum for a while because I know what will happen to my budget when I do!

Barry
