Hi folks!
I'm not only new to the board but also to orchids. Well, last mothers day my son gave me my first orchid. I don't know what it is other than pretty. It even bloomed this past Feb...and still has blooms. Now for Valentines day this year I asked for the mini size ones and received 3. Sad to say they are not looking so happy but then I fell 'victim' to 'Just Add Ice' even though my orchids are not from them that I know of....just Walmart.

Needless to say, I need mega help with these babies. I soaked them today until water ran through them. I hope they will snap back to great shape.

My bigger orchid that's a year old I would like to repot into a glass dish I have that I call an 'orchid' pot. I thought I could turn to someone with more experience to help me learn. I'm great at African Violets...LOL...so I'm hopeful I can become pretty successful with orchids.

Anyone want to direct me to the best info on repotting and caring for my beauties.

Good to be here!
Anita

Welcome to Orchidboard.

If you've not already seen it then take a look at "The phal abuse ends here" thread.

It's probably worth checking the roots of the little ones. If the are in good condition then continue as you are doing.

Does the glass dish have drainage? That's very important for orchids.
