Hello from MN
Hello my name is Simon,
I live in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. I have just back into Orchids after may years of absence. I never was very good at keeping them alive though ;-) I like messing around with DIY projects and built a 3 level light stand a few years ago. It previously just had some house plants that we leave outside in summer. I am in the process of building a T5 light fixture to replace the shoplight fixture I am using now. This board seems to have a wealth of good information, I am looking forward to spending more time on here.
Cheers,
Simon

Hi Simon Welcome to Orchidboard
You will find all kinds of information here. Combined, I think our members from around the world probably have the entire orchid world covered!!! Great folks with lots of experiences to share. Take a look in our Members Articles area (you'll find a link in the column on the left of the fourms page), some folks have come up with some really cool ideas.
What types of 'chids are you growing? Do you grow indoors?
If you have any questions, just ask

Thank you to all the people who replied . At the moment I only have 4 plants: Gastrochilus japonicus, Aerangis luteo alba var. rhodosticta and a couple of Home Depot Phals.
I suspect I will acquire a few more in the near future Luckily I have a good Orchid nursery nearby. Not cheap, but they seem to have nice plants.
Cheers,
Simon

You have the chosen plant from our last big OB Project...Aerangis rhodosticta! What conditions are you using for it? This is so cool! It's being grown by 54 of our members in 8 different countries!
