Hello from WI

Hi Everyone -

After years of being an avid admirer of orchids, I decided to try my hand at growing orchids. I decided to ease into this hobby by starting with a few phals. I was also given a beautiful and quite fragrant Miltoniopsis as a gift as well.

I've been quietly lurking on this forum for the past week or so trying to take in as much information as possible but decided continuing to lurk without at least introducing myself might be perceived as rude so I thought I'd better come on in here and announce myself.

I'm nervous and anxious and excited about the prospect of growing orchids and look forward to learning as much as I can from all of you.

I've been meaning to join the local orchid society and attend other events but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I see that you're from Madison as well - I may have to hit you up for advice for growing tips in our climate here in WI....that is if you don't mind me pestering you from time to time.
