Hi everyone!
I stumbled upon this forum by accident, and I have to say, I'm really glad I did! It's a goldmine for orchid crazy people. I'm new to orchids, but an old hand at 'normal' plants, since I'm going to start an Msc in plant breeding next fall. But... I quickly discovered that in this world there are plants, and there are orchids and caring for them is almost completely new for me.
I got hooked in May 2006 with a beatiful Cym. And since I wanted to give it some company, i got a Burrangeara, a small flowered phal, then 3 phal seedlings.... I'm in the Netherlands for my studies, and it is so so hard to resist the temptation to buy more orchids!(got the phal seedlings a few weeks ago!) Unfortunatly student life makes it hard to travel with an orchid collection!
I am completly hooked on orchids
