Default Hello from Socal.

Hello everyone,
I am a college student in southern California. I have always enjoyed gardening and at one point had a 1,000 sqft. vegetable garden with 30+ varieties of tomatoes (I'm a large part Italian lol) but for the past few years i have not done any real gardening other than a terrarium i set up about a year ago. I just recently got into orchids after my girlfriend was given one as a housewarming gift and it sparked my green thumb again. So far i have 2 phalaenopsis, 1 dendrobium, and 1 intergeneric. I am still not sure the exact details of the intergeneric other than i have read i should care for it similar to an oncidium. Sadly my 1 1/2 year old pup decided she did not like one of my phals so she pulled it out of the pot and bit off the spike and some of the roots, but i still have several roots that are about 2 inches long so hopefully it will survive. Anyways, here are some pictures.

Hello and welcome! My dog (as a puppy) thought my vanda was a great chew toy...I still don't know how it survived. Lovely orchids!

Yes, the "intergeneric" is an Oncidium alliance intergeneric hybrid. Most do well with general Oncidium care.
