Default Not new, just never posted

I've been lurking in the background for a while now, just never posted. I can get 95% of questions answered just by seaching topics on here.
I've been working with orchids for about 5 yrs now and my collection is up to the low 40's, mostly catts, oncidiums and Phals, with odd ball phrag and vanda thrown in. I've had mixed results with all of them and I've murdered several also. Lately, my luck/skill is improving because of experience and some of the great great post on here.
My biggest challenge is finding them a place in the winter here, in north western NC. I move them in to the house with fans and humidifiers and my space keeps shrinking. I'm going to add on to my small greenhouse this winter and finally make decision about how to heat it effectively.
I don't post often, but I visit regularly, at least weekly.
Just wanted to say hello!

Welcome to Orchid Board! A greenhouse sounds like a great idea.

Hello, Stoots...I'm in Texas, and some of my questions get answers here, also. I,too have a greenhouse, and when it gets VERY cold, I use a clean burning kerosene lamp overnight. Forty orchids is a great start. Please post pictures of your blooms, so that we can all enjoy them! BettyE
