Hello!
Default Hello!

Greetings from Ohio! I have two Phals, one from an orchid grower friend and one from a Lowe's home improvement store. (The sales person was having troble selling the orchids after they had bloomed so she sold one to me for $5.) My father, my sister and I all grow orchids and various types of plants. However, I am still a novice when it comes to orchids so I will be asking plenty of questions!

Aboard again gm...great that you have found the OB. Plenty of different environments here and many members anxious to help in any way we can.

We all started a novice and every question is worthy of learning about our addiction.

If all else fails...buy an orchid and write me in the morning

Hi Gm,

Welcome to the OB! I have also enjoyed going over Home Depot and other shops orchid clearance areas. I have a great love for the passed over, bloomless plants that are hanging out of the pots, roots exposed. LOL!
Share photos of your plants when you get a chance. We'd love to see them!

Thats always the way to get a good bargain on a Phal. But the problem is most of the time you don't know what the name of that Phal is. Oh well, pretty is pretty. Welcome to the Orchid Board, glad you and your family could join the addiction!
