Saggy Vanda Male
Default Saggy Vanda

Good morning! My boyfriend Ed and I have inherited 36 orphan orchids. Some are beautiful plants others are just roots. My question is: We have 1 vanda and the leaves are just sagging (the rest of the vandas are very perky) He does not look well at all

Anyone have an idea why? It is hung with the others, is misted the same as the others, but is still very droopy.

Thanks for any input!

Brenda & Ed

Welcome aboard, Ed and Brenda!

WOW! You inherited 36 orchids! That's just great! I only have a few vanda's so no advice but someone here will probably step up and help you out.

I hope to see you post often and tell us about the rest of your new 'babies.'

Welcome to the orchid board. Glad you were able to join. Photos would help us help you a lot more. But some more info helps too. How do the roots look?

Hi Brenda and Ed... welcome to Orchidboard

Vandas need LOTS of water...especially here in Florida.
Sometimes one or two of my vandas decide to pout a bit and I try to move them into an area that has a bit less light. Sometimes it helps...but the two that are pouting out there right now still have an attitude!

We've got lots of great growers on OB and many of us have vandas so hopefully somebody else will chime in with some ideas

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask
