Default Hi from London (for now)

Hello.

My name is Chris, i used to be on here years ago but i sort of forgot about the place...

I mostly grow Cattleya alliance plants and have just started business here in England, supplying Cattleya alliance and other interesting orchids

Looking forward to getting chatting on here again!

Welcome, Chris! Do you grow C. Violacea? I've been drooling over one of those lately

Hi Bethmarie.
I have never had C. violacia... but i agree, it is stunning! I'm more an oddities person, like a good intermedia though Just got some intermedia alba X alba plants in stock, and some intermedia orlata "Rio" plants too, both nice variations of intermedia! But, i prefer my plant of bog standard intermedia... managed to get hold of a large specimen plant that was 30 years grown and near 50 bulbs! Though, part of the arranged deal to get the plant meant it was straight chopped in half when i got it home after 6 hours and 8 buses there and back from SE - W London! My half got divided up, kept the nicest bit which is settling in well and has 2 new growths But, i like Schomburgkia (ex-Schomburgkia)... of which i currently have three, Myrmecophila tibicinis (still small), Schomburgkia leuddemaniana and Schomburgkia splendida But, one of my favorite plants... is my Laelia fournieri! My plant is doing 8 new growths at the moment and the whole plants is a lovely crimson red from being in full sun the majority of the day

Hi Bud, thanks... i have a lot more knowledge now, so hopefully i can be even more informative!
