Hi From NC
Hello! New to the forum and checking in to introduce myself. I'm looking forward to becoming a better orchid keeper through this board. And I'm hunting for a particular mini cattleya hybrid and hoping for some help but I can't get the picture to post. I tried posting the url that links to a picture, but can't as a newbie. Any suggestions from those of you who've been around the block?
P.S. It seems like bad manners to introduce myself and ask for something in the same breath. It probably is! My only defense: I've got it bad for this orchid. Apologies!

Welcome to Orchid Board! Usually you can go to the picture, copy the link at the top of the screen, and paste it directly into your message. Do know the name of the orchid you're looking for? or is that what you're trying to find out?

thanks for the welcome, all. I'm glad to know I'm among orchid sickos here...no danger of an intervention! Rosie's picture tip was successful and I found out in the cattleya forum that i was looking for blc. yen corona "green genie" or something very close to it. So thank you Tucker and everyone else who weighed in and put a name to my orchid mystery.

Welcome, I'm new too. I've been Googling all the Orchid names people are throwing around. The only ones I ever see in the stores are phalaenopsis. Would love to see some variety, although I still love the phalaenopsis.

Hello ianmh! Ian? Thanks for the welcome. I too have been chasing down the names of plants I see mentioned on OB, and if I had a million dollars-- well, I wouldn't be rich, but I'd have 30 thousand orchids or so

Hi Beth!!! You must live near me! Perhaps we've met at the orchid society meetings???? Anyhow, I have seen that cattleya at the Lowe's on 15-501 and Sage Rd. It was a few weeks ago, however, but its worth a shot! The plants may not look so great by now, if they are still there, so I'd go and look soon! Best of luck!!!! (PS- I almost got one, but I'm trying to "downsize" for the winter!)
Let me know if you find the "green genie" there! I hope so!!!!!!!!!
