Well I've been growing orchids for around 10 years, but not very well. I started with a phalaenopsis as a companion plant for some carnivores I was growing for an FFA project when I was 15. After graduating high school I had over 30 orchid plants. But it turns out dorm room climate isn't conducive to good orchid growth
. So I had to sell off all but a few that could fit in a small aquarium. Now, 3 years out of college I'm getting back in. I got 7 mini's for my frog vivarium two months back, and last weekend I was bored and spend the day on ebay..... Now I have 22 more.
I'm most interested in Stanhopea allies and other weirdos, and also mini-catts. I want to do a little breeding in the near future. While in college I did a bit of work in the tissue culture lab so I'm ok on that part of it. Don't know if I'll have space to grow out many seedling though.
Anyways, glad to have found this site, and hopefully my new plants to well!
