Hello,

I have gardened outdoors for many years but now I find myself in a high rise in St. Louis. I have no balcony so I began to experiment with African Violets and other house plants. I bought an orchid in June at Trader Joe's that was blooming and it is still blooming. Not one petal has dropped. I'm hooked. Now I have a Dend and five more small Phals. I am thinking of experimenting with s/h culture and have lots of questions. I was very happy to find this forum.

Phals and lady slippers will grow from your windows. Everyone else will be pretty easy under a red-blue spectrum lighting.
