This forum thing is new to me
Greetings ...
My name is ,Darren Quardt.
I have been growing orchids, here in Oregon, since 1997. Specializing in species and primary hybrids.
...not having much experience with the 'forum' thing... curiosity has gotten me.
So can anyone tell me what goes on here ?

Hello and welcome!
A lot of things happen here to be honest. It ranges from show and tell pictures, culture advice and thoughts, and anything else you can imagine along the lines of orchids such as greenhouse and outdoor growing, pests and diseases, equipment, etc... Feel free to look all around! There is so much to see and it does take a while to get acclimated if you are new to forums.

From time to time yes. However, no seller has any background checked, so it's at your own risk. Over time though, you'll learn who is legitimate about selling or trading.
