Talking New here in Washington state

Hi everyone,
I'm new to growing orchids. Even tho I'm fairly new I really like them and have been rescuing some from lowes as well as a few I saw on Craigslist. I now have 14 orchids. I have one putting out new stem and only one flowering currently. Ive been studying a lot on how to care for these. Majority of what I have now are philinopsis. But I have a couple dendundium. Pardon if I misspelled it please. I have one slipper orchid in the mix too. Most of them I have no idea what color they really are because I have not seen a flower. So it will be a surprise to see.
I will be sharing my orchids with my twin 13 yr old daughters. They talked me into buying some. Fun to have my girls taking a interest in it.

Yes, it is fun to see them interested in it. I also have a garden outside. Mostly fruits and veggies. All my kids except one take interest in some part of growing a plant. (with exception to oldest teen boy who wants no part in it but wants to eat it all. Lol) I just started gardening 3 years ago. I'm very new at all this but I'm loving it.

Hello! Glad to have you on board. Don't know what part of Washington you're from but we are fellow Warshingtonians from the far northwest corner of the state. If you're anywhere near there we have a small society that meets near Mount Vernon and would love to have you come.

I'm in auburn, wa. I wish I were in mount Vernon area I used to live there and was born up in that area. Maybe sometime I could come visit tho. That would be nice. I'm actually working currently on buying a home in spanaway. My husband works in the cell tower repair so we have to stay in the area where he can find jobs or I would be further up north nice to meet you all.
