Greetings from North-Central Alabama!
Greetings orchid lovers! Currently, I own one orchid that I received as a gift. Before I received, I admired orchids for their beauty, but never really gave a lot of thought to owning one.
I have had it about a year and have blindly been able to keep it alive.
Recently, I have taken a greater interest in it and would love to start acquiring more of them, but I feel it is important to learn about the one I have before I start adding to my collection.
I have found a lot of info on the web about orchids. So, the first question I have at the moment is what kind of orchid is it? I have learned there are many different types.
I believe it is a relatively common species, however I would like to know exactly what it is. It is a large mainly white bloom with yellow tiger-stripes in the center with a small smudge of purple on the petal close to the center.
Once I have made it that far, then I will probably be asking lots of questions about how to keep it at tip-top shape.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this forum. I hope to find other members are kind and helpful!
Thanks!
T.

Hi T. Welcome to the orchid board. Unfortunately we cannot give you an ID until we see a picture. And then we cannot give you a specific name unless it was already tagged or is an unmistakable species.
