Smile Hi from Jax Florida

EXTREME newbie to orchids but have been drooling over them for years Hubby surprised me and brought one home for me.. I *think* has 2 different plants in one pot has 2 plant labels one with Den. Burana Charming and one Den. Salaya Pink.... although it's purple not pink.... lol. So I went and got Ortho's Complete Guide to Orchids to TRY to help me out So decided I would say Hi and look forward to learning all I can from you all.

Hi Stacey. Welcome to the Orchid board. You might have a hybrid. Do you see an 'x' between the two names? If so, you have a hybrid. They rarely pot two plants in the same container. But you might have gotten extra lucky.

Oh, wait you said two different labels. , lucky you!

Welcome Annasta, I live about 150 miles south of you with a couple hundred orchids. You can see by my name I'm also somewhat new to orchids. I have learned so much since joining, and I believe you will too. Stay active and post often.

Welcome. You have begun a lifelong journey. It all begins when you get to know one of these plants. They bewitch you. They court you. Then they bloom and cause you to want more. You can never learn it all. But begin now and enjoy the ride.
Where is Valkaria?

Thanx for asking Charles. Valkaria is now known as Grant/Valkaria a newly incorporated town of about 5,000 people, south of Melbourne and Palm Bay on Florida's east coast. It's still quite rural, and we are striving to keep it that way.

Now I know why Valkaria sounded familiar ... father-in-law lives on Grant Farm Island in the ICW...in a few years will be neighbors...

Wow what a welcome.... thank you all it's so nice to see such nice people!!!

There is no 'x' at all on the labels, just two seperate labels, and the flowers look different. If I can find my camera I will post some pictures and show you what I mean. Ill post em under two diff orchids? in one of the forums.
