Hey Nat: I have mine (and my marginalia) in a basket with medium-packed sphag moss. Nobilis and tortillis are both mounted on bark, but both are also in moss. I keep them quite moist from about ehh, this time of year to the fall. Winter I give them a little less moisture and let them almost/ sometimes dry out between waterings. Winter temps they are indoors, so around 65 at night to 70 day with some light, then summer I hang them below all my other plants outside, so the temp ranges from 65-85. Above 85 I increase frequency of water or just bring inside for a day or two. They are always in shade outside. They usually flower in the fall for me... but for some reason the tortillis took last year off (after flowering for 5 or 6 years in a row in the fall), and is spiking now.
In terms of the good looking-ness of all of them, the hennisiana is definitely the rattiest of my bunch... small bulbs, drops a big leaf and then shoots up one or two other tiny ones. It just definitely doesn't look as nice as the others.
