Default Greetings from Sweden :)

Hello there OB. I'm an utter newbie when it comes to orchids even though I've had some of my paphs for some time. I recently joined a Swedish orchid forum and ever since then my interest developed into something much more akin to mania.

My favourite spieces is Phalaenopsis and since joining the Swedish forum I have discovered the joy and glory of the "pure" species, particularly equestris.

Since I've stumbled on this forum on several occasions when checking orchid related topics, I decided to join. I hope you can help me to grow as an owner and my phals to grow as orchids. I also hope I will learn how to use the correct terminology when talking about orchids because I think I use a lot of homemade ones at the moment...

(oh, you are most welcome to point out my spelling errors and any grammatical errors I will make - this forum is also a way for me to improve my English and not only to improve my phal-caretaking abilities ).

Welcome to Orchid Board! I agree with you that phalaenopsis equestris is a nice phal species. Judging from many of the posts on this forum, you'll learn a lot more about orchids here than about how to use the English language. Good luck with your plants.

Thank you (and it's fun to see someone know a bit of Swedish here)!

It should be considering I have studied English during most of elementary school, High school and after that for a year and a half at the University. Considering all this I would say that I need to improve it quite a bit and the best way to do it is to put it to use.

And thank you both tucker85 and RosieC for your welcomes.

Valkommen! Phals were what first did it for me. I still remember seeing my first phal...love at first sight! Now, it's become an obsession.
