Talking Hi Everyone I am a Newbie to this site

I have been lurking as a guest before joining this site. Can you beleve it I already have a dilemma about my orchid Vuylstrekeara Aloha Passion. Do Vuyl. usually get spots on their leaves easily? Also what do I do with the flower stalk after the flowers fall off? Should I cut it down to the leaf joint or will it flower from the old spike?
Thanks for all the help!
Sandra

Hello and welcome! I don't have Vulk., but the oncidium intergenerics I do have get spots on the leaves. It's nothing to really worry about. Some of mine are over 15 yrs old and while they may look shabby as a plant, when they flower each year they are real nice.

Hello and welcome.
Onc alliance plants do seem to spot a lot, increased air circulation will keep it to a minimum.

Welcome to Orchid Board

Like others I don't have experience with this exact plant, but I also find that Onc alliance plants like it do tend to get spotting on the leaves.
