Hello! Fairly new to orchids, diving in! Female
Default Hello! Fairly new to orchids, diving in!

I, with the encouragement of my best friend, have officially dove into the world of orchids. And I, being a little more practical when I don't know anything about something, purchased a rooted cutting of something I was very familiar with (loving to cook and all)- a plain vanilla planifolia. Sure, I read a lot about it, and sure, I thought I knew what I was doing... but today I realized that I need help.

So here I am. My first question is, am I doomed? Will I fill my house with orchids after this?

Thank you, and I'm very happy to be here.

Thank you guys! I've been around the forum for a bit, and my head is buzzing with new information. The amount of information here is dizzying. I love soaking it all up.. glad I bought my vanilla and came here! I'm off to take a look at my vanilla now, maybe repot it. I know I'll move it to a different location in the house though, for sure.
