Hi To All from Central Wisconsin
Hello, I'm new here but have been an orchid nut for over 20 years. I don't breed (yet). I have a large collection of intentional aquisitions and near as many I've saved from the dumpsters of the local retail that they toss as soon as orchids are done blooming 'cause no one will buy them (but me).
Long term goal is to replace 3 season wrap porch with "4 Season Room" with heated floor, floor drain & hot tub for humidity (among other uses). This will save me from repeated large scale moves at least twice a year. I'll elaberate on this @ another time........
ps: fav pastime is giving an orchid to a "non-believer" as a gift & sitting back to watch the "show".......lol

Ahh, a hot tub in the orchid room. Sue, move over, pools in the orchid room are so last week!
Welcome to the Orchid Board. You painted a nice soothing picture in my mind on how to enjoy one's orchids.

A hot tub for the orchids
My hot tub is in the garage...the only room that's officially my husbands...orchids in the garage ...nope, can't do it
I read through your orchid list...you've got a wonderful collection!
Iwanagaara Apple Blossom is my favorite when it's in bloom! I find myself smiling every time I get a whiff of it's lovely fragrance! Yummy!!!

Welcome Trixie!!!! Wow that sounds amazing and I would love to live there!!!!! What a great project!
I am slightly new to orchids, but I can't wait to learn some things from you! I have only been growing and rescuing for a year now, and I killed all my orchids when I first started about three to four years ago, before I knew what the heck I was doing!!!!
Again welcome and if you are still having trouble with pictures let me know and I will help you!!

Wish I had room for the pool, will have to hold off till the neighbour moves, buy that, burn it down (a blessing, no, really) then flood the foundation, voila, a pool.......lol
