Hello from Maine! I started purchasing orchids last November and I have quite a variety and enjoy them so much. I don't really have a great year-round "orchid set-up" but I have a sunroom where most of them are and I am hoping to have that room heated for winter. It will be too crowded in my home otherwise. This orchid bug has really gotten me good. My husband likes my beauties, but I think he is wondering if and when I will stop buying them.

He thinks I have enough. Mostly I buy seedlings that need time to grow and blossom. I have really struggled with my patience in that regard, but it will be worth it in the long run. My phals are blossomed, so that is wonderful, and now and then I buy a cattleyea that is blossomed....but not very often. I have a dendrobium blossomed right now that helps me cope with all the promising ones yet to produce a blossom.

All in all I enjoy my "chids" and this whole experience is a good one. I crave to see other people's orchid collections, but there aren't many that I know of nearby. Any other Mainers out there? This OB site is so awesome! I have a hard time with my lack of computer knowledge, but I am trying. Kiki-do
